KA2

Launch Date : 1993

The original hull used to produce KA2,  was designed in 1935 by Harry Becker. 

KA2 was built by Jonas Brundin NSW 1991 as one of three sisters with ‘Scarlett O’Hara’ and ‘Pinchgut’ which was later sold to France. 

Her first owners were. Jonas Brundin, John Taylor, Ron Evans, then Ron Evans alone.

Jonas Brundin named her ‘Sail 30.’ 

Ron Evans took her to Lake Macquarie, named ‘Brand.’

In 2003 the current owner John Bryson bought her from Ron Evans in unkempt condition but solid, and brought her to Lovett Bay NSW 2105 for restoration. Rigging renewed 2004, chainplates renewed 2009.  

She sails with the Woody Point Yacht Club which now has 80 starters in summertime, as a consistent trophy contender, her closest rivals are Etchells and 5.5 Metres.
