A small white Classic Sailing Yacht covered with a blue tarpaulin is tied to a wooden jetty in a calm marina, with several other boats and trees visible in the background.

Caress 2

Launch Date: 1934

Her designer is unknown and while it is unlikely she is built from a square metre yacht design she has a lot of simularities. Her history is still being researched but one of her previous owners has purchased her under the name Firebird. She was later named Wanda and we have recently had some speculation that she is Caress II. The connection comes from a huge old cotton Kite that was onboard which is labled Lesba on the Sailbag. Caress II was belived to be renamed Thoura and then Lesba and her build date is from the same period. She is now 34ft long as she had an incident with a ferry which removed her stern section. She has a narrow 6 ‘7″  beam and a draft of 5ft 6″ .

A classic sailing yacht, possibly a Square Metre yacht, with lowered sails floats on calm water near a tree-lined shoreline with houses, under a cloudy sky.
