The Event of the year for all metre inspired yachts in Sydney.
Held on Saturday the 30th of April it worth visiting the SASC for a sticky beak at 10am to see the yachts rafted up at the club before they head out to race at midday.
Take a look at last years event and you will see this is a great day on the water.

Reflections on the Skipper Alfred Paton
Alfred Paton was one of the owners of Fagel Grip.
At age 87 he recently passed away.
When he last revisted Fagel Grip last year his eyes were alight with memories of good times and the relationship of owning such a fine yacht. For those of us who have met him he had a good hand shake and he had a more than likable chararcter. We are fortunate that before his passing he was able to share with us some of his stories and documents he had collected from his days sailing Fagel Grip.
We start this month with the scrapbook in the early 1960’s
